はじめまして。私の名前はマテオ・ロメロです。22歳です。アメリカのニューメキシコ州のサンタフェ出身です。

趣味はゲームをすることと絵を描くことです。

大学校はNMSUでした。2023年に卒業しました。専攻はコンピューターサイエンスと言語学でした。

バイオリンとピアノも弾けます。

私は日本語を上手に話せるようになりたいです。

Greetings! My name is Mateo Romero. I am 22 years old. I am from Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA.

My hobbies are playing games and painting.

My college was NMSU. I graduated in 2023. My majors were Computer Science and Linguistics.

I can also play the violin and piano. I want to be able to speak Japanese well. It is very nice to meet you!

　私はアメリカ出身です。具体的にはケンタッキー州です。アメリカ南部に位置し、非常に多様な文化をもつ州です。私の街の一番の魅力はバーボンです。

　私は水族館と新しいレストランで食事をするのが大好きです。私の趣味は絵を描くこと、お菓子作り、本を読むことです。私は暇な時間に日本語を勉強していますが、まだあまり上手に話すことができません。日本で一番好きな場所は大阪の水族館です。恵那のような場所に来るのは初めてです。いつも何かエキサイティングなことが起こっています。故郷とは全く違いますね。ここにいる間に、できるだけ多くの場所を旅行することを楽しみにしています。

I'm Ariel. I'm excited to be able to teach in Japan.

I'm from America. Specifically, I'm from Kentucky. It's in the south side of the USA, and we have a very diverse culture there. The best thing about my city is the bourbon.

I love aquariums and eating at new restaurants. My hobbies are drawing, baking, and reading books. I study Japanese in my free time, but I'm not very good at speaking yet. My favorite place in Japan is the aquarium in Osaka. It's my first time in a place like Ena. There's always something exciting happening. It's so different from my hometown. I'm looking forward to traveling to as many places as I can while I'm here.

始めまして、私はライアン・ワットリングです。私はイングランド南部の美しい都市、ポーツマスで生まれ育ちました。

私はポーツマス大学で政治学を学び2017年に卒業しました。大学在学中、チェコ共和国で1学期を過ごした後、旅行や異文化体験が好きになりました。それ以降、ニュージーランドとオーストラリアに住み、仕事をしてきましたが、今、ようやく日本に住み、仕事ができることをうれしく思っています。

　私の一番の趣味はランニングです。私はランニングが大好きな国の出身で、ランニング文化が盛んな日本に来ることができて幸せです。

　私の好きなスポーツ観戦はサッカー（イギリスではフットボールと言う）で、ポーツマスFCを応援していますが、ここ日本では名古屋グランパスとFC岐阜を観戦するのが好きです。

恵那にいる間、みなさんが英語を学びたいと思えるようにしたいです。皆様にお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。

Nice to meet you. I’m Ryan Whatling. I was born and bred in Portsmouth, a beautiful city in the south of England.

I studied Politics at the University of Portsmouth and graduated in 2017. During my time at university I found a love for travelling and experiencing different cultures after I spent a term abroad in the Czech Republic. Since then I have lived and worked in New Zealand and Australia, and now I am happy to be living and working in Japan.

My favourite hobby is running. I come from a country that has a love for running and I am happy to be in Japan, which also has a big running culture.

My favourtie sport to watch is soccer (or as we say in England, football) and I support Portsmouth FC, although I have enjoyed watching Nagoya Gampus and FC Gifu here in Japan.

During my time in Ena, I want to inspire people to learn English.

　こんにちは、アイザックです。アメリカ合衆国カリフォルニア州サクラメント出身です。

　現在、長島小、飯地小、中野方小、岩邑小、串原小・中学校でALTとして働いています。ゲームをすることと格闘技が好きです。アメリカではブラジリアン柔術を6年間、子供向けのクラスで2年間教えていました。料理も好きです。一番好きなのは麻婆豆腐とサルサです。日本食も好きです。一番好きなのはうどんとそばです。日本文化も大好きです。日本の歴史について学んだり、黒澤明監督の映画を鑑賞したりするのが大好きです。黒澤監督の一番好きな映画は「七人の侍」で、一番好きな日本の本は「兵記」です。

　ALTとして、生徒たちに英語に興味をもってもらいたいと思っています。授業中は、英語学習が楽しい経験となり、授業外でも学びたくなるような雰囲気作りに全力を尽くしています。また、アメリカ文化も生徒たちと共有したいと思っています。生徒たちにぜひ見せたいのは、様々なアメリカ料理です。アメリカにはハンバーガー、ホットドッグ、ピザなど、とても人気のある料理がたくさんありますが、メキシコ料理やフュージョン料理など、他にもたくさんの人気料理があります。

Hello, my name is Isaac Cortez. It is nice to meet you. I am from Sacramento, California in the United States. 

I am currently working as an ALT in Osashimasho, Iijisho, Nakanohosho, Iwamurasyo, and Kushihara elementary schools. I enjoy playing games, and I enjoy martial arts. In America, I have practiced Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for six years, and taught kids classes for two years. I also enjoy cooking. My favorite thing to cook is mabo tofu and salsa. I also like Japanese food. My favorite Japanese food is udon and soba. I also really like Japanese culture. I love learning about Japanese history, and watching old movies by Akira Kurosawa. My favorite Kurosawa film is “Seven Samurai” and my favorite Japanese book is “The Tale of Heiki”.

As an ALT, I want to get the students interested in English. When I am in class, I want to do my best to make learning English a fun experience so that they would want to learn it outside of class. I also want to share American culture with them. One thing I like to show the students is the different kinds of American foods. America has a lot of different foods that are really popular like hamburgers, hotdogs, and pizza, however America has many other foods that are popular like Mexican, and fusion foods. 

初めまして。私の名前は、ダグラス・ミラーです。スコットランドのエルギン出身の二十四歳です。エディンバラ大学で哲学と文学を学びました。

アイルランド出身の作家であるJames Joyce（ジェームズ・ジョイス）が書いた本を読んで楽しんでいます。特に、”Ulysses”（邦題「ユリシーズ」）が好きです。好きな日本人作家は三島由紀夫と村上春樹です。「春の雪」と「海辺のカフカ」が最も好きです。私の趣味はサッカーとマウンテンバイクに乗ることです。

Fー1と日本のドラマを見ることことです。週末は友達とサッカーをしたりします。好きなサッカー選手は古橋亨梧とネイマール（Neymar　Jr.）です。カラオケにいる時は、マドンナかテイラー・スウィフトを歌うのが好きです。

好きな日本食はサーモンの握り寿司とカツカレー、サムライマックです。私がよく行くお気に入りのスーパーはドン・キホーテです。毎日日本語の勉強をしています。とても難しいですが、面白いです。よろしくお願いします。

Nice to meet you.　My name is Douglas Miller. I‘m a 24 year old from Elgin, Scotland. I recently graduated from studying Philosophy and Literature at The University of Edinburgh.

I am fascinated by the works of Irish novelist James Joyce, especially his epic `Ulysses`. I also love to read Japanese literature,　particularly Yukio Mishima and Haruki Murakami, some of my favourite pieces are `Spring Snow` and `Kafka on the Shore`.

My hobbies include playing football and mountain biking, and I like to watch Formula One races or J-drama in my free time　– at the weekend I`ll usually play football with my friends. My favourite football players to watch are Kyogo Furuhashi and Neymar Jr. If I have to sing Karaoke I`ll always choose either Madonna or Taylor Swift.

My favourite Japanese foods are Salmon Onigiri, Katsu Curry, and Samurai Mac, and the best Japanese supermarket is Don Quixote. Every day I study Japanese language. I find it both extremely difficult and rewarding. I one day hope to read some of the Japanese books I love in their original language. Thank you for reading.
